Service Description

Sessions Details Meet at Outdoorium Cafe, feel free to stay in the space whilst the kids have an outdoor adventure learning practical skills exploring the seasons. We'll start by having a welcoming nature based story in the Cafe so they can settle with the comfort of your company. We'll then go out into Priory Park to the Philosophers Garden and do 2 nature based activities. Our forest school session runs for 2hrs in total with 1hr20 outdoors and 20 minutes either side for snacks and stories in Outdoorium Cafe. Your ticket includes a crafting workshop for the adults which will take place in Outdoorium Cafe throughout our forest school session. The core focus for our Tuesdays Morning Groups will be Memory games & Communication skills. Adults are welcome to join, please specify if that's your preference. In our school in Sheffield we've noticed when kids are in the sessions without their adults it can enhance their involvement in the activities. What to bring! Even is the sun is shining we recommend kids come in outdoor clothing. Please pack a water bottle. & Thats it! A little bit about our outdoor teacher.. Molly our practitioner opened her first outdoor learning centre 5 years ago, it's situated on 11acres of land and operates out of a poly-tunnel, woodland and field. It's still running today and operates as a forest school and home ed ecology club. She's worked with kids & adults in nature for the past 8 years and is first aid trained, specifically, Forest School Paediatric First Aid trained. Her background in herbalism, theatre and education is a wild and winning combination for creatively inspiring people how to interact with the outdoors in a fun yet considerate way. Our ratio for this age group is 1:6, meaning 1 adult to every 6 kids. If you wanted to join the session and wanted to be involved with our adult to child ratio, please let us know as we'd like to offer you a discount for your child's ticket. Cancellation Policy

In case of emergency please contact the workshop practitioner or Outdoorium directly. This will allow the option for the event holder to gauge how to reorganise and suit the participant and the practitioner.
